Once upon a time Nabokov took a trip to South America. He liked to chase butterflies and he heard that the place was terribly good a place to hunt them.
And so he arrived to Brazil and went to a deep, deep jungle.
Did he put on his spectacles? Oh, yes, he did.
Did he put on his trench coat? Yes, he did.
Did he put on his trousers? Yes, he did.
Did he put on his big wellies? Yes, he did.
Did he take his bag? Yes, he did.
Did he take his umbrella? Yes, he did.
Did he take his flask? Yes, he did.
Did he take his butterfly net? Yes, he did.
And he finally made his way into the thickest jungle thicket with his cute butterfly net…
And what did he find there?
Huge, enormous, giant exotic butterflies...
And he stood there looking at them and thought: just how on Earth am I going to catch these monstrous butterflies with my small net?
And he said: Oh, my goodness...
